Golden Set is an app for a tennis community: finding an opponent, recording matches, a rating, court bookings and tournaments. This page says what we hold, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
What we store
Only what the product needs to work. We collect nothing "just in case" and build no advertising profiles.
- Account: your email address and password. The password is stored only as a hash — we never see it.
- Profile: username, name if you gave one, city and district, year of birth, gender, playing hand, photo — whatever you entered yourself.
- Play: matches, scores, opponents, your rating and its history, tournament entries and results.
- Courts: your bookings — club, court, time, price.
- The answers to the calibration questionnaire that set your starting level.
- Technical: when you were last active, and your interface language.
Location
The app asks for your location only to put the nearest clubs and tournaments at the top of a list. The permission is optional: refusing costs you the ordering, nothing else.
Coordinates are not stored on the server — they go into a query and leave with it.
What other people see
This is a community and the point of it is that players can see one another. Public: username, photo, city, level and rating, matches played with their scores, tournament entries and results.
Not public: your email, your bookings (a club sees only its own), your questionnaire answers, and anything in settings.
The name behind a booking is visible only to the club, and only for its own courts.
Who processes the data
We sell nothing and hand nothing to advertisers. The data is processed only by the services the app runs on:
- Supabase — database and authentication, servers in the European Union.
- Vercel — the website and public pages, Frankfurt region.
- Brevo — sending email (address confirmation, password recovery).
How long it is kept
Profile and matches for as long as the account exists. Tournament points live 52 weeks from the date of the event, as on tour, and then expire. Bookings remain in the club’s own history.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account. It is final: the email, the password and every session are gone, and nobody can sign in as you again.
One thing stays, and it is worth saying plainly. A match had two people in it. Erasing you from a match would erase your opponent’s own win and leave their rating unexplainable. So the match record stays, with everything personal stripped out of it — name, photo, city, age, questionnaire answers. What is left where the profile was points at nobody.
Your rights
You can see your data, correct it in your profile, take it with you, or delete the account. If you want a copy of it or something will not work, write to us and we will do it by hand.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to one, we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in any way that matters, we will say so in the app rather than quietly rewriting the page.
